The Witness II

The Burmis Tree is an iconic feature at the eastern entrance of the Crowsnest Pass.  It is often described as the most photographed tree in Alberta. Limber pines are a protected species and are a rich food source for black bears and grizzlies as they fatten up for winter. Listen for the noisy Clark's nutcracker as they fly from one cone-laden tree to another.
