Incarnation

Hello, Pilgrim. Place your naked feet here, in the damp, verdant green. Let your breathing slow to a nighttime rhythm.  Invite your hearing to join your breath. It’s possible your feathered neighbours will notice and watch curiously from the shadows. If you stay long enough, those living in slow time, the trees, will lean in. These silent vertical shapes that perforate the sky speak as community, a plurality of roots and living mycelium networks alight with insights. It will take some getting used to. Trust that your thoughts will come ‘round eventually to sync with the cool moss that cushions your feet.

And now, dear Wanderer: your heart. So much sadness! Let pain and lament join in the rising song of this moment; they too are welcome. It is good to let Spirit find you, fill the dark spaces and bring your heart home again, incarnate. Return here and rest for a time, as often as you need.
